At CityListify, we want to maintain a trusted and reliable local community where users can discover genuine businesses, services, organizations, creators, and community profiles.

Our Verification Policy explains how verification works and what verified status means on CityListify.

1. What Is Verification?

Verification is a process used by CityListify to confirm that certain information associated with a business, organization, creator, or other eligible profile appears to be authentic and meets our verification requirements.

2. Who Can Apply for Verification?

Depending on the features available on CityListify, verification may be available to:

• Local businesses
• Companies and brands
• Professionals and service providers
• Organizations
• Community groups or pages
• Public-facing creators
• Other eligible profiles

CityListify may determine which account types are eligible for verification.

3. Verification Requirements

To apply for verification, you may be required to provide:

• Correct name or business name
• Valid contact information
• Business or organization details
• Website or social media presence, where applicable
• Business address or service location
• Government-issued or business-related documentation, where legally appropriate
• Proof that you are authorized to represent the business, organization, or profile

Requirements may vary depending on the type of account and verification requested.

4. Verification Process

CityListify may review the information submitted during the verification process.

We may consider:

• Accuracy and consistency of submitted information
• Whether the business or organization appears to exist
• Whether the applicant is authorized to represent the profile
• Publicly available information
• Submitted supporting documents
• Previous violations or suspicious activity
• Other information reasonably necessary to protect platform integrity

CityListify may approve, reject, request additional information, or place an application under review.

5. Verification Badge

A verification badge is intended to help users identify profiles that have completed CityListify's verification process.

The badge:

• Does not guarantee the quality of a business or service.
• Does not guarantee customer satisfaction.
• Does not guarantee that all profile information is permanently accurate.
• Does not represent an endorsement of the business or individual.
• Does not guarantee that the profile will remain verified indefinitely.

6. Business Verification

For business verification, CityListify may request evidence that the business is legitimate and that the person applying has a connection to or authorization from the business.

Businesses should keep their information accurate and up to date:

• Business name
• Address
• Phone number
• Website
• Business category
• Operating information

7. Document Verification

If supporting documents are requested, you should provide genuine and valid documents.

Do not submit:

• Fake documents
• Altered documents
• Stolen documents
• Someone else's documents without authorization
• Misleading information

CityListify may reject applications involving suspicious or fraudulent documentation.

8. Privacy & Verification Information

Information submitted for verification may contain personal or business information.

CityListify may use verification information for:

• Confirming identity or business information
• Preventing fraud and impersonation
• Maintaining platform security
• Reviewing verification requests
• Complying with applicable laws

Verification information may be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

9. Rejection of Verification

CityListify may reject a verification request if:

• Required information is missing.
• Information cannot reasonably be verified.
• Submitted information appears inaccurate or misleading.
• The applicant cannot demonstrate authorization.
• Documents appear fraudulent or invalid.
• The profile violates CityListify policies.
• Verification could create a significant risk of fraud, impersonation, or user harm.

A rejected application does not necessarily mean that the business or individual is illegitimate.

10. Removal or Loss of Verification

CityListify may remove verification status if:

• Profile information becomes misleading or inaccurate.
• The account changes ownership.
• The profile is impersonating another entity.
• False or fraudulent information was provided.
• The account violates CityListify policies.
• The verification was obtained improperly.
• The account presents a security or trust risk.

CityListify may also periodically review verified profiles.

11. Changes to Verified Information

Verified users are responsible for keeping their profile information accurate.

If important information changes, CityListify may require the user to complete verification again.

12. No Guarantee of Verification

Submitting an application does not guarantee approval.

CityListify reserves the right to determine verification eligibility and make verification decisions based on its policies, available information, and platform safety requirements.

13. Misuse of Verification

Users must not:

• Claim to be verified when they are not.
• Copy or imitate a verification badge.
• Use another person's verification status.
• Sell, transfer, or improperly use verification.
• Misrepresent what verification means.

Misuse may result in removal of content, loss of verification, account restrictions, or account termination.

14. Appeals & Re-Application

If your verification request is rejected, you may be able to submit additional information or apply again, subject to CityListify's available procedures.

CityListify may limit repeated applications or requests where necessary to prevent abuse.

15. Changes to This Policy

CityListify may update this Verification Policy from time to time.
